Evidence-based medicine

Örebro University Hospital has a high awareness of the scientific basis for its methods and the available evidence for various treatments.

The Center of Assessment for Medical Technology in Örebro (CAMTÖ) is charged with the task of introducing new methods and arranging education in evidence-based medicine.

When new methods and medical devices are to be introduced, we use a systematic evaluation according to the mini-HTA (Health Technology Assessment). The method allows for a deeper analysis of the knowledge base and the impact on business before the technique/device is introduced.
